Deceptle is a word-guessing game that was clearly inspired by Wordle. This popular app has been downloaded over a million times. The word-guessing game is divided into six rounds. Each round has a different objective, which is to correctly guess each new word. Each guess causes the color of the tiles to change to show how close you were to being correct.
How To Play
Green, yellow, and purple make up Deceptle's color scheme. Each color represents the level of proximity between your estimate and the actual answer.
- Green: When a tile becomes green, it means that your letter estimate is within one letter of the right letter. If our estimation for e x ample is "apple" and the correct response is "ample," the "p" tile will turn green.
- Yellow: When a tile turns yellow, the correct letter is at least two letters ahead of your estimate. If your guess is "apple" and the correct answer is "rider," for example, the "r" tile will turn yellow.
- Purple: When a tile turns purple, the correct letter is two or more letters after Y. If our prediction is "apple" and the actual word is "buddy," the "b" tile would become purple for e x ample.
